Tips to prepare for your NID student portfolio:-

A candidate's portfolio consists of a collection of their best and most recent works. Several design colleges, including NID, IIT, IISc, etc., require students to submit their portfolios as a way to learn about their creative side and whether they are naturally drawn to the course they are applying for.

Building a portfolio involves highlighting your talents above all else. Showcase the pieces of art that best demonstrate your skills, rather than focusing on the finished product. Ensure that what you include in your portfolio reflects your passions, thoughts, experiences, and creativity in the design industry. As well as this, make sure to feature the work that differentiates you from other applicants and impresses the selection board.

The portfolio presentation is not about demonstrating your work volume, but about demonstrating your creativity. Therefore, we recommend that you limit your portfolio to a maximum of 10-15 pages, with each page containing just one project. This will ensure clarity and attention are given to the project.

Prepare your presentation- Portfolios should be labelled appropriately. Introduce the projects you have included. Your introduction should be one line long.
