NID Studio Test

The NID Studio Test is for those who have passed the first phase of their B.Des/GDPD/M.Des NID exam, comprising of a 70% weighted DAT Mains (Studio Test) and 30% weighted DAT Prelims (Multiple Choice Questions). This exam takes place at the Ahmedabad campus of NID and includes applicants from across India. The importance of this phase lies in that three times the number of available seats are selected through it. It covers such topics as Doodling concept, 3D Model making, Clay Modelling, Wire Moulding, Psychometric Test, Audio Visual Test, Interviews and Portfolio rounds - all in English to a maximum of 100 points. For M.Des candidates, the Studio Test is conducted separately for each discipline they specialize in.

NID 2023 Eligibility Criteria :

As per the eligibility criteria of NID DAT 2023, candidates have to meet the age limit, educational qualifications, and the qualifying exam that is accepted by NID. It is only necessary for candidates who meet the eligibility criteria to apply for the entrance exam. Below you will find an explanation of the NID eligibility criteria.

B.Des.- Candidates should clear Class 12 from any stream (Science, Humanities, Commerce) from a recognized board such as CBSE, IB, ICSE, or their equivalent. Candidates appearing for Class 12 exams in 2023 are also eligible to apply.

M.Des.- Candidates should complete a bachelor’s degree course from a recognized college/university. Candidates should not be more than 30 years of age as of June 30, 2023.
